Barney ! This precious senior boy is so sweet and easy so far, and so thankful for any kindness and comfort. Here's what we read when we saw the post for this sweet boy: "This sweet, fragile senior boy needs a rescue to step in and give him the comfort and care he deserves.This little guy was found wandering alone, frail and struggling. Despite everything he's been through, he remains incredibly gentle and cooperative. He's the definition of a soft, old soul who just needs someone to show him kindness in his final chapter. * His condition is concerning: * Underweight (BCS 2) and dehydrated on intake * Covered in scabs with aged, fragile skin * Fleas/ticks (finder bathed him prior to intake) * Missing teeth with heavy tartar buildup on remaining teeth * Noticeable soft lump near hip/abdomen * Cold to the touch in areas * Quiet, calm, and not very interested in food Even with all of this, he allows handling, takes medication without resistance, and shows no signs of aggression. He's just tired... and needs help." This write up, plus some sweet sad photos and a video of his precious gentle demeanor and hopeful tail wag got this boy a last minute ticket out of the shelter and to Dogwood. He's even sweeter than we hoped. We love you little guy. He's very underweight at 12 pounds when he should be 15-18 pounds. We're guessing him at anywhere from 10-15 years old. Check back for more.
