Her body was riddled with various injuries accumulated over time, including fresh puncture wounds and a past dislocated hip. The puncture wounds eventually healed, and our vet did FHO surgery on the dislocated hip (as opposed to the initial plan to amputate the leg altogether). She doesn’t walk perfektly, but she is pain free and agile. In addition to her physical injuries, there was also psychological trauma as a result of the abuse she suffered. Understandably, she had trust issues with humans and struggled with being handled. Being under the care of a loving foster home has made a big difference in her relationship with people. Ideally, she would thrive in a home with other friendly dogs her size. She also lives with a cat in the home and is bonded with the cat (maybe not so much from the cat’s perspective . . . ) She would prefer a home where the humans are around most of the time.
