Welcome beautiful Skyla and family!! This beautiful girl is a little over a year old and is just a puppy herself. She arrived this week, severely underweight but somehow she is still pouring everything she has into nursing her seven 2 week old puppies. Skyla currently weighs 45lbs but at a healthy weight we think she'll be closer to 60-65lbs. As Skyla settles into her foster home, we'll continue learning more about her, but we can already tell she is a resilient, sweet, intelligent girl!... Welcome beautiful Skyla and family!! Remember that beautiful black litter of half golden Retriever, half Saint Bernard pups we had last year that came with parvo? They racked up a zillion in vet bills but all pulled through. We paid to spay the golden retriever mama, but somehow one of the female pups, who wasn't offered to Dogwood, now has an 11 day old litter of her own in need. The new pups dad is believed to be a Saint Bernard, making the new pups 1/4 Golden and 3/4 saints. We remember how weird it was that last years pups were black with a golden retriever mama and a Saint Bernard daddy (we saw pics but thought some neighbor dog must have jumped the fence) but the DNA came back just what they said, half Golden, half Saint.
