Evelyn, 15 yrs (F)
Welcome darling Evelyn! This tiny senior girl was sitting alone and unwanted in a crowded Shelter. In spite of repeated request for rescue nobody could take her and she was running out of time. We would far rather see her humanely euthanized at the shelter than left to suffer and die on the streets, but we knew we had to give her a sweet last chapter no matter how long or short that might be. We decided to squeeze her in, even though she's probably going to be a Hospice case.... We decided to squeeze her in, even though she's probably going to be a Hospice case. She's just 5 pounds, very elderly and appears to be mostly blind and deaf, but sweet and easy to handle and has a good appetite. We will be assessing her as we go, but most likely we're going to just love and care for her gently until she passes rather than put her through spay And dental and all the usual procedures.
