Jessie, 3 mo (F)
Jessica (Jessie) came into my foster home with her brother Joey. She immediately liked being petted and held and purred for me. She was also very underweight and small, half the size of her sibling and not very active. But she immediately started eating and filling out. Though she remains a "petite" girl, she is now healthy and energetic, and able to hold her own with kitten wrestling play. With their "spots" Jessie and Joey (A734586) are a matched pair!... Their personalities also complement each other and they would be great adopted together.Summary of Personality: Jessie is a friendly, very affectionate kitten. She is the first to run to greet me in the mornings, and loves to be picked up and snuggled with kisses. She purrs a lot and doesn't generally talk much. When she is ready for a nap, she wants to be close to me or to be held. She will be very attached to her person. She loves playing with her brother, however she is also independent and likes to go off on her own and play. Jessie loves balls, and a tunnel or sheet she can jump on. She also loves TV and watches with me.While she can initially be shy with new people, she is not skittish. Jessie is a typically curious kitten: exploring is the big deal.Home Life (experience with kids & other pets, etc): The siblings have been fostered in a quiet, calm home with their foster mom and two adult cats. They have had adult visitors come and play with them. While initially a bit shy, Jessie soon comes out to play and be held.Jessie is also interested in interacting with the Big Boy cats and wants to be friends though they are not willing to put up with kittens. Another foster kitten was introduced to the family just a couple of weeks ago - after a day of hissing/growling, they are all now buddies. So she should do fine with another cat/kitten or even friendly dog.Jessie is not used to children, so older children who can treat her gently would be best.Include any observations: Jessie uses the litter boxes regularly. I use pellet litter. She has recently been free-feeding with Hill's Science Diet Kitten Dry Food, supplemented with Hill's kitten wet food.
